Are Essential Oils For You?

How Essential Oils Can Be Used for Wellnes

Everybody wants to feel good every day.  I think that I can make that blanket assumption.  Well….what is it that differentiates a good day from a bad day?  Maybe it is the weather…if it is gloomy and dark, you may feel gloomy and dark.  If it’s sunny and bright…you may feel sunny and bright?  Are there certain smells that remind you of happy things in your life or bring back memories of happy times?  Did you pick out the perfect outfit that just makes your soul sing?  It could be any one of these things.

About Essential Oils

I have been utilizing essential oils for a while now and I have to say that they do make a difference in my life.  Whether it be a certain blend that lifts spirits or a scent that brings back a happy memory, I see these powerhouses in a tiny bottle affecting my mood.  My favorite site for information on essential oils is  One Essential Community  I have gotten great blend recipes, cleaning product recipes, explanations of each EO and recommendations for products on this site.

Where To Get Essential Oils

There are many MLM essential oil companies out there:  Young Living and Doterra are two of them.  I have never used their products and I am sure they are wonderful, but they do come with a higher price tag.  I order most of my EOs through Amazon or buy them at TJMaxx (yes…TJMaxxJ)  **I am not receiving any products or commissions for mentioning these websites or stores.  I have just had great success with them and want to share them with others.**

Ways to Use Essential Oils

The other factor that you have to think about when it comes to EOs is the delivery system.  Blends can be added to water in an electric diffuser.  You can also purchase some roller bottles and carrier oil if you want direct skin delivery.  Another type of delivery is inhalation.  You can purchase simple plastic inhalers, which have a wick inside them on which you add the EO directly.  You them just simply inhale them when you feel the need.  I’ve tried all these systems and have gotten benefits from all of them…it is simply a personal preference.  (All those supplies can also be easily ordered from Amazon.)

So, which blends will help you with your overall wellness?

It depends greatly on how you are currently feeling and what might boost your spirits.  I am including some of my favorite blends and hope that they have as positive an effect on your wellness as they have had on mine.

The thing about essential oils that turned me off the most was their high price tag! Thank you for giving alternatives.

I find my essential oils are great for sleep. I spray on my pillow 🙂

I love essential oils. I have been getting them through my sister at Scentsy, or at the supermarket.
I also recently got a diffuser for my car and working with a calm blend to help while I’m driving.
I am using lavender the most, and am getting good results with falling asleep (diffuser by the bed).
Oh and I have a PMS Ease and Sleep roll ons from Le Reve.
Can you tell I’m a fan?!

If I bought some quality ones I may try in my cooking, but that scares me a little!

    Thanks for sharing!
    Xx Angela

One scent I really REALLY enjoy was pure green tea oil. Really soothing.

I’m also imagining a vanilla/peppermint hybrid would be really nice as well.
